The Hawks

It is a wonderful thing seeing your child excel in something he loves -- but it is even better to see him go through such a memorable experience with his friends who feel the same about it. Caleb's basketball team the Hawks has moved on to playoffs! They finished the season with only one loss and are now scheduled to play against the toughest teams this Saturday in a run off for 1st place. We are so proud of the boys who have worked so hard for this reward! With hour-and-a-half-long practices (even on Fridays when the mind of a 6-year old is already in weekend mode), repetitive drills that seemed to bore them (though they didn't realize it is only perfecting their skills), and shouts from parents on the sidelines telling each son to "listen to Coach and stop horsing around", these boys have made it! And they've improved so much thanks to the 2 coaches who've guided them along the way.
