Blessings & Bliss

On June 13 at 3:52PM, our little family was blessed with the birth of our newest member, Diego Xavier.  Weighing 7 lbs 4 oz, Diego was in the 70th percentile of length at 21.5".  So these past few weeks, he had some catching up to do to balance out the height/weight ratio.  These past 5 weeks have certainly been trying since our little Diego is completely different from Caleb when he was a baby.  I feel like a new parent all over again.  And here I was thinking I would be a pro at this!  Everyone says he looks so much like Caleb when he was a baby, so big brother is very happy about that. :)

I'm back at work and, though I missed my co-workers dearly, it has been difficult with the overwhelming sadness that all moms returning to work feel after having their newborn.  Fortunately, the hubby who works from home half the time gets to be here as the grandparents come over to babysit Diego, and I am able to come home to see him on my lunch hour.  This is my first time nursing for this long, so we've also been adjusting to this new situation.  We are amazed at our beautiful little boy and we are also completely in love!  He is now a little over 12 lbs of perfection and still growing!
